How many times have you had to enter your email address, because it’s required to get the information you need? Tons, right?
Well, I’m going to show you a couple quick and easy solutions that work, and will reduce the amount of spam you get.
1) Spamgourmet.com
This is a free service. I’ve used it for years. Register for free and create your username. I suggest something generic like ’email86′
Then when you need to use it at Sears, enter sears.5.email86@spamgourmet.com – What happens is their reply email to you will go to spamgourmet.com and instantly auto-forward to your normal email inbox, but in this case only 5 times. Then the temp email address you made auto-disables and they get bounced emails back saying “undelivered”. You can use a number up to 20. There are more features explained on their website.
2) Gmail.com
Most everyone has a gmail account now. If not, you should. Did you know that you can add +sears (or whatever word) into your gmail address and you will receive it? Yes, like this: savemoney911+sears@gmail.com will appear in my savemoney911.com inbox. Then when I don’t want any more emails and their unsubscribe does not work, then I create a ‘filter’ for just savemoney911+sears@gmail.com and direct it straight to the trash.
3) https://mytemp.email
Use this service for free, when all you want is to confirm your email address to get access to a site. Super fast and easy to use, but once you use it, you’ll setup a new one for the next time you need it.
Hope this helps
Michael
